About Sam Chadwick
Sam first put his eye to the viewfinder at the age of 18. It was one of Canon's very first digital cameras which became his main means of documenting a 5-day ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro. Ever since, Sam's passion for travel photography has taken him to over 50 countries, creating a remarkable collection of images of the people, cultures and environments in which we live. In 2007, Sam's reached the semi-finals of the Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year.
Although travel photography remains Sam's focus, he continues to advance his abilities in other disciplines. Sam's eye for photojournalism has lead to images appearing on Reuters. Sam runs an outdoor digital workshop in New York and is also a patron of the International Center of Photography.
Sam currently resides in Hell's Kitchen, New York City, where he is working on a variety of photographic projects on life in the Big Apple while planning his next photographic expedition.
